Dr Justin Sherwin is an ophthalmologist specialising in cataract and lens-based refractive surgery, with a focus on delivering precise, personalised outcomes and reducing dependence on glasses. He also manages glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and treats a broad range of general eye conditions, including macular degeneration and intravitreal injection therapy.
He graduated with honours from Monash University and undertook further postgraduate training at the University of Cambridge, UK where he completed an MPhil, MChir and PhD. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in cataract and glaucoma surgery in Oxford, UK.
Dr Sherwin is a Board Member and Vice President of the Australian Society of Ophthalmologists, an Honorary Ophthalmologist and Client Services Committee member at Vision Australia, and a Visiting Professor of Cataract and Refractive Surgery at Ulster University, UK.
He is known for a thoughtful, patient-centred approach, combining advanced surgical techniques with clear communication to achieve high-quality visual outcomes.
