Dr Lim is an Australian-trained retinal specialist and cataract surgeon with international experience.

She has particular expertise in cataract surgery and diseases of the macula and retina, which includes age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and macular oedema, retinal vein occlusions, myopic macular degeneration and retinal tears.

She is a highly trained and experienced cataract surgeon. She not only performs routine cataract surgery but also specialises in complex management of patients with cataract and concurrent retinal or inflammatory eye conditions.

Dr Lim gained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours and multiple academic awards. She completed four years of comprehensive ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and other major hospitals in Melbourne. She undertook another two years of fellowship training in medical retina at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. During these fellowships, she gained wide experience in the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions, intravitreal injections, retinal lasers and complex cataract surgery.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists (ANZSRS). She currently holds a consultant position at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where she is actively involved in teaching ophthalmology trainees and ophthalmology research.

Dr Lim has vast clinical experience and maintains up to date with novel, innovative treatments, allowing her to provide the best visual outcomes for her patients. She is known for her gentle personalised approach, good communication and patient-centred care. Apart from English, Dr Lim can converse in Mandarin and Bahasa.
